How does receiving Tulayoga differ from practicing other forms yoga?

- Tulayoga is not a class that you participate in, it is a treatment,
a sensory experience that you receive, rather than positions that you practice.
The only thing that one practices with Tulayoga is the ability to let go and trust.

- The inverted positions of Tulayoga create traction in the whole vertebral column rather than compression.

- Tulayoga releases you from gravity, from your habitual orientation and sense of time.

or eye diseases such as:
- retinal detachment or narrow angle glaucoma.

While you receive all the benefits of being inverted, the feet of the practitioner are placed in such a way that blood does not rush to your head and cause the discomfort normally associated with inversions.

Is there an age or weight limit?

Anyone from 5 years upwards can enjoy Tulayoga. There is no upper age limit, as long as you are in good health. Each practitioner has a personal weight limit. Louka's for example is 75/80 Kgs

I'm not very flexible, can I still receive a treatment?

You do not have to be as flexible as the people you see in the images on this website. Tulayoga adjusts to, and gently increases your individual limits of flexibility. However, the more flexible and relaxed you become, the more postures are open to you

What is the difference between Acro Yoga & Tulayoga?

AcroYoga encompasses many disciplines, including therapeutic ones. However, in general it is more often group oriented, posture focused, dynamic and playful.

Tulayoga is a one on one treatment that you receive from a practitioner who is well practiced in guiding you through a series of release postures, into which you deeply relax. It is given in a private and quiet space. It is meditative, inward looking and primarily focused on the release of tension and the therapeutic benefits of floating in stillness.
